Paperday ("the App") takes your privacy seriously and complies with applicable privacy laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.
1. Information We Collect
- Approximate Location: The App requests your device's approximate location (city level) solely to display current weather information. Location data is not stored on our servers and is only used at the time of the weather API request.
- Advertising Identifier (IDFA / GAID): The App may collect your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads via Google AdMob. On iOS, this is collected only if you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To display real-time local weather information (location data)
- To serve personalized advertisements (advertising identifier)
3. Data Retention and Deletion
Location data is used temporarily on-device and is never stored by the App. Advertising identifiers are processed in accordance with Google AdMob's privacy policy. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data including favorites and settings.
4. Third-Party Services
- OpenWeatherMap: Approximate location coordinates are sent to retrieve weather data.
- Google AdMob: Advertising identifiers may be shared to serve relevant ads.
- Supabase: Used to sync quotes and background images. No personal information is collected.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Location: You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
- Ad Tracking (iOS): Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to disable ad tracking.
- Ad Tracking (Android): Go to Settings → Google → Ads to reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.
- GDPR / CCPA: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the email below to submit a request.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
